Safety

Our primary objectives are to ensure the safety of our people in occupational and research environments and to ensure the safe and knowledgeable use of hazardous materials that are used in research and teaching.

In addition to regulatory requirements, occupational and research activities at UBC are guided by internal policies. Deans, department heads, directors and managers all have the responsibility to develop, implement and maintain all elements of the safety program.

RMS provides guidance and technical expertise to support that commitment.
